About The Textilist
Welcome! My name is Rachel Meutzner. The Textilist is a textile design studio for sustainable fashion brands, rooted in real production knowledge.
With over a decade of experience in merchandising, styling, and product development, I understand the practical challenges brands face, from material sourcing and sampling efficiency to garment construction. That experience informs every print I design. My goal is to create artwork that is visually strong, commercially viable, and aligned with the realities of sustainable production. I work with brands that care deeply about what their garments are made from and how they are produced.
My approach considers fabric type, print method, repeat scale, and longevity from the beginning. That clarity supports collections that align with your values, whether through digital printing, low-impact color palettes, or thoughtful material selection.
